I have rented with many, probably too many different letting agencies and private landlords. Yes, most of them have some room to improve. Larards Lets however... has to be the worst letting agency in history of time. 1) ILLEGAL and NO PRIVACY In my time renting from larards lets, there has been multiple times when they came to my property without notice. Sometimes, they would just stay outside and do their inspections (without even letting me know that they are on my property, before, during or after). It gets worse. One time, the letting agent suddenly came round, knocking on the door and ringing the door bell. I answered the door. He claimed that they have contacted us in advance, regarding an inspection of the house. When I checked and know that there wasn't any notice, he forced his way into the house. When I tried to FORMALLY make a complaint, the letting agency refused and ignored my request. 2) MONEY GRABBING They try, at every turn, to take money for things that they shouldn't. For example, at the end of the tenancy, they want you to pay for broken things, that you reported were broken at the start and they refused to fix. 3) POOR QUALITY and PESTS I have viewed 6 of their properties around cottingham in the last 2 years. They were all run-down and infested with pests, generally overpriced for the condition of the property. I eventually found one that looked reasonable... I regretted it deeply. Imagine finding mouse holes that previous tenants blocked up with tape! This is what you get from this company. 4) DISRESPECTFUL and ARROGANT employees When renting with larards lets, I spoke to many different employees of the company. I noticed that they all look down on you (I supposed you are renting from larards, so you chose to suffer), are very old-fashioned in a bad way, and has no idea what they are doing (but pretends that they are better than anyone else). Those are the main issues I had with Larards Lets. Happy to help anyone who might want to know more about this company and those who are wanting to rent from Larards Lets.

Awful. I was a quiet tenant and rent always paid on time. I reported a few things and nothing ever got done about it, I was always ignored! took days off work for repairs only for nobody to turn up. Absolute joke of a company! We've got a leaking roof that was reported over 5 weeks ago! As well as a running/dripping shower/bath tap and a few other issues... we've rang them every week and not had any answers from them... no call backs or apologies but they're happy to keep taking ... Most rude and unhelpful staff I have ever dealt with - not interested in what we were looking for and generally disgusting attitude towards us. I found the service provided to me as a tenant has been fantastic. My application was processed quickly and efficiently with very helpful staff. Once I collected my keys the service continued to a high standard, as I had several repairs which were dealt with quickly. I would definitely rent again... Read Full Review

Larards Lets don't care about tenants once they have signed you to your contract and got your money they just leave you to rot in their houses. Won't do any work on them.
