Gardiner Waters Property Management

I had a very poor experience with Gardiner Waters when trying to arrange a flat rental for my parents-in-law. After a successful viewing of the property we gathered all the relevant info together, sent it through and the next day we were emailed a rental agreement. The deposit was duly paid, but only 4 hours after the initial email the rental agreement was unilaterally withdrawn. No proper explanation was ever given for this. The landlord was blamed for the decision, but Craig indicated is was at the advice of Tony Waters, one of the partners. As soon as the decision was made, all contact was dropped. I managed to get one return call from Craig to say that he was embarrassed by the situation, and he would try to find out where the miscommunication had happened. I never got any further reply. Despite several requests Tony has never shown the courtesy of getting back to me with an explanation. Needless to say my parents in law were distraught. I still have no idea why we were messed around so badly. The deposit was returned and now they won't take any calls or reply to emails. I would recommend avoiding this company if at all possible. We were treated shockingly badly, and there didn't seem to be an ounce of professionalism between them. The only silver lining was that this experience persuaded me to buy a flat instead of my parents-in-law having to deal with shady companies like this.
