We bought a house through Griffith & Partners and we found the sales team, in particular Sam Gerring, to be very unprofessional. It all started from the first time we went to view the house. Not only was she late but she had a very bad attitude. Any questions from us were met with short and patronising answers; just as an example, when asked if the seller would consider accepting any offers, her reply was 'don't you even dream of offering any less than xxx' or when we asked about the current tenants (the property was advertised as end of chain), with a scoff she said that everything would be OK otherwise the house wouldn't be on the market. We would've totally walked away if it wasn't for the fact that we really liked the town and the house. Once our offer was accepted we kindly asked to remove the advert from their window as we found that it was still showing as available. Her answer was a simple no. Without any explanation given. As we grew more and more frustrated and explained that we didn't want to be gazumped, her reply was that they are a family run business and would never let that happen. What a low customer service skills. We've also had other instances when we genuinely doubted the experience and the standards of this estate agency. As a seller, I would've been absolutely horrified if my estate agent treated my buyer in such an unprofessional way. Needless to say that if we were to sell our current property we would not use Griffith&Partners and above all, we would not recommend to anyone.
