I was recommended this agent by a friend in the business. He seemed nice enough so I listed my property with them. They secured a low offer on the first viewing. Because it was low, and only the first viewing, I didn't accept it and asked them to try to get the potential buyer to raise the offer. They didn't. In what was, allegedly, a "rising" and "busy" market, my well presented, average sized house in a good area attracted only occasional viewings. Eventually I was made another, incredibly low offer by an "investor" They advised me to accept it. I declined and withdrew the property from the market, in writing, to the agent. Unknown to me they didn't withdraw it but kept it on their listings, labelled as "cash buyers only", a term intended to raise suspicion for potential buyers. I withdrew the property at the end of September but they kept it on the market until the following May. I was alerted to this recently when I decided to market it again and my friend ran a "comparable houses" search. This is close to criminal behaviour, evidently working in conjunction with their friend the "investor" and not acting in my best interests at all. Avoid this agent!
