Viewed a property, then called the guy who showed us round to make an offer. Made a reasonable offer given the condition of the house, received no response at all. Had to call the office to find out the answer to our offer to be told it had now been sold to another party who made above asking price offer. I asked why the agent had not called us back to make a counter offer, no explanation given, just sorry! Sounds very fishy and would lead one to consider if there were other reasons for them not contacting us back?
