I have had the misfortune of asking Shaw & Co to let my flat out in Hayes. The first day when they arrived to view the property and do some paperwork, The sales Manager seemed ok. The estate agent/landlord (brothers - lack of impartiality) has not held true to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme that he is registered with and uses as a marketing tool (displayed in his window) to lure trusting tenants. What agent could do to change your mind?
He could have not showed up at 9 am at my home banging on the door and trying to let himself in with his own set of keys when I refused access to show the property to prospective tenants in writing as I had friends and family staying over. He could have negotiated the disputed part of our deposit using the the Tenancy Deposit Scheme our tenancy deposit was supposed to be secured by. He could have returned to us the undisputed amount of the deposit. He could have negotiated a settlement with us out of court, as the courts suggested.

I had my property valued by Philip Shaw (manager) who after 5 minutes of looking around my property that it was worth £300,000 to £320,000 at a push.
