I have reported repairs with regards a leaking roof that created severe mould in the bedroom which took around six months before they did anything about it. This only then was executed due to my reporting this to the local council who upheld my complaint. Ten months on and they have still not completed the work and sleeping in a bedroom that affects my health issues. Why do tenants have to suffer so much when all l want us to live in a clean and repaired home, is this too much to ask?

21 Oct 2021Good Morning Mr Black, We feel that the comments made above have very much been written to enforce this complaint, rather than expressing the truth. To begin with you have been aware for the last few months that we have had multiple roofers look at the problem with them not being able to find where the leak has been coming from. The mould/damage is limited to one room which you could not use in the interim. It would be absolutely no benefit to anyone to correct the damage inside until the roofing work has been repaired. It now has and the internal works have been booked to be rectified. You have also failed to mention a new radiator was installed in the effected room to ease the problem and having reported a problem with your boiler on Friday you had a new one installed the following Monday morning. If we are that terrible at correcting repairs, why was this done so quickly? You did also shout at the roofer who came out to do the work and turned him away initially, as well as there being other areas of your tenancy at present you have not adhered to. We also feel why do agents, landlords and contractors suffer at the hands of tenants who have unreasonable expectations.
