Really disappointed with Simon from Hayward Fox we found a property we loved and was so keen. We even offered to pay more money £100 a month more (He never told the landlord) for the property we loved that much. He said the reason we didn’t get it over another very young couple was because I was self employed. I feel very insulted that I’m nearly 30 and can’t rent a property with you. I have rented 5 properties in the past and one was double the amount and passed all checks without a problem - I’ve never missed a payment. Simon fed the information back to the landlord. We currently rent a property £125 more expensive a month and we have good references. This didn’t matter apparently!! I don’t see how being self employed is a valid excuse it’s completely unacceptable. If he had asked I would of paid the year upfront without an issue. I bet the other couple couldn’t do this - bet they couldn’t pay two months. Very angry and very upset considering in the current pandemic it’s extremely hard to get a property. I felt like Simon had made his decision even before talking to the landlord and influencing him. From Simons performance I don’t feel there is any support for tenants who are self employed and feel as a company you are prioritising people who are employed, tenants aren’t on equal terms. I own three businesses and feel we’ve been overlooked. My partner has a good job too. So I’m asking Hayward Fox Estate Agents to rent a property with Hayward fox and to stand a chance getting past Simon I would have to get a full time job and put my businesses on hold??? Then you’d be happy that I could afford some rent? Because I’d be earning a tonne less which would therefore be less likely to be able to afford it? Surely that’s more risky as a respectable estate agents? Anyway I look forward to your reply!

My recent experience with Hayward Fox was marred by consistent communication failures and a noticeable lack of professionalism. Attempting to reach them was a frustrating, with calls and emails routinely ignored or met with vague responses. This lack of responsiveness left me feeling... Read Full Review

I have lived in the area privately renting for 5 years. One of your members of staff in the rental department is *. She makes sure I never am able to rent a property. She always says they are gone even when they have just come up. I've had my friend call hours later and they are all of a... Read Full Review
