Rented a property here, was told at the beginning not to worry about the short lease as the previous family lived there for years. So, spent upwards of £1000+ decorating and renovating making it a home awaiting arrival of a baby. Painted every single room, refreshed kitchen tiling, installed mirrors in the bathrooms, new tiling in bathrooms, roller blinds in bedroom, hive heating system, to name a few. To then be evicted after 6 months, with an 8 week old baby, with myself on maternity pay. With no reason whatsoever. Other than the landlord no longer wanting to rent out the property. And lo and behold, barely a year later its back on rightmove for Rent. £100 more expensive a month. So basically, I put £1000 of my money and time into a house to make it more profitable for the owner. And we were evicted with a newborn for no reason. I had to take out a £2000 loan to be able to afford to move somewhere else, which I am still paying off. And now its back up for rent. I asked Hunters at the time to see if the landlord would consider extending the eviction to give us more time, I also explained all of the work that went into it. They didn't didn't even bother getting back to me. Vile, heartless and despicable behaviour.
