We purchased a new build property from Norfolk Homes and have been bitterly disappointed by the shoddy finish. We have had, as expected, ‘snagging’ issues including a cracked window, a misted window, two leaking sinks, a gas hob that wasn’t connected to electric for the ignition and they have now been put right. However, the finish was/is totally unacceptable and I have included photos of just some of the areas we have issues with. Norfolk Homes were aware that both the decorator and cleaners work was below standard as they ‘relieved’ them of their duties and yet our property was handed over clearly without an inspection despite knowing this, and the cleaning and decorating weren’t the only areas of extremely poor finish. Norfolk Homes are also of the opinion that as they’re working with us to put things right it somehow negates the stress and inconvenience that we have been experiencing for the past month but it doesn’t, far from it as it simply should not have been allowed to happen. According to their website, the managing director quotes that they provide quality finish homes but that is far from the reality in our experience.
