The house itself is a good size house with good rooms and good facilities however the quality , in terms of hygiene is horrific. When I moved in there were still items of the previous tenant in my room, strands of hair all over the place and cob webs in the ceiling as-well as bottom corners of the room. This is a clear indication that the room was not prepared before it was even put on the market. Thorough cleaning of any house before new tenants are moved in is a requirement as stated on the GOV website to ensure the safety of everyone due to COVID-19. The communal area ( kitchen & and living room ) were very dirty , mold was found in the bin , a smell filled the kitchen ( most likely due to the mold) the fridges contained wet residue and a stale smell . The cupboard also contained wet residue and stains both inside and outside. Also hair strands were in the kitchen. This made me very uncomfortable and uncertain for my health. This is a clear representation that the landlord does not care for his/her tenants ! The agency have been notified and after persistence got a cleaner to come round but she has not been back since ( even bore the 2nd lock down ) even up until now we are waiting for the keys to the back door so we can take our bins round so they can be emptied . They are over flowing in the garden and a cat has come and emptied the bin and created a mess. The agency do eventually get back however there is no explanation to why this has happened and why there seems to be no urgency or attention to detail in a time such as this ! We are in a pandemic ! As time is going I am finding more hazardous things as I now make my way thoroughly cleaning communal areas day by day along with my house mates. As of Tuesday 10th I found glass underneath the fridge !! This is not on at all I would advice to not go with any house underneath this agency ! I understand they do not choose the landlords but this still doesn't take away the experience I'm experiencing. This is very disappointing and shows that there is a lack of efficiency, empathy and professionalism in the housing market
