This agency was unprofessional and slack from the beginning and I regret ever trusting my funds with a bunch of jesters. Prior to moving in, there were quite a few issues such as a broken fridge, dirty carpet and a broken shower which we were told would be fixed before receiving the keys, this was not done until months later. I was left with ruined food on many occasions and a bathroom which was not usable. They were holding viewings in the house during the height of Covid-19 which was thrust upon me so I couldn't really say no. Not only this but when it was time to refund my deposit the agent Omar (extremely poor from the get go) refused to provide me with any information on where my deposit was located despite it being over 10 working days since I requested it and just told me 'good luck' (Based on the information I was provided, my deposit was to be returned in 10 days). He proceeded to blame it on my flatmate when the issue was he hadn't even forwarded the request to release my funds until I had contacted him chasing up my money. In fact, he told me to google it! I found out that the deposit was not held with the scheme they'd given me the information for which was fraudulent. Not only this, when I told him I was not happy with the service, he was combative and told me he was going to get his solicitor on me should I leave a review. Honestly, to call this a joke for a company would an understatement! I look forward to hearing from your solicitors. hahah.

17 Sept 2021Dear Miss Tilly, As per your review, I confirm Oliver Jacobs were not the managing agents for this property. 34 Hopton Rd, SE18 6TH. The landlord informs us that he carried out all repairs which were required, carpets, replacing the fridge, tap change, this was nothing to do with us, Also the government had lifted all restrictions on covid. I think you may be have been confused with workmen coming to the house. i.e British Gas Furthermore, the rent you paid was direct to the landlord not to OJ as stated in your contract. We also understand from our staff that you had fallen out with your flatmate re the deposit and wanted a large sum of it which you never had paid, according to your flatmate the landlord was speaking to her and not you which left you disgruntled and hurt. The landlord also confirmed your deposit was protected within the first 10 days of you moving in and you both were provided with the necessary information it was released promptly, the disputes were with you and your flatmate over who was to pay for cleaning, the finals bills etc. Lastly, it was reported that you were also harassing the new occupants in 34 Hopton Rd at unsociable hours i.e. 1 am, which you were reported to the police and the onsite security. Very Good, didnt charge me double fees because we were two inidviduals, charged one flat fee and very reasonable
