Extremely disappointing experience with James Kendall. Having registered interest in a valuation over a week ago, we were excited to show Tim around our property today and discuss on-boarding them to assist in the sale of our home. We spent yesterday and this morning making sure our home presented in the best possible light, not any easy task with two under 8's. I received a text at 8:05 confirming our 10am appointment. With 45 minutes to go to the appointment Tim rang and advised he had been doing some 'research' into our property and insisted on being sole agent. I explained we had no desire to remain dual-agent inn the long term, and after sufficient time to evaluate performance (asking Tim to nominate a minimum tie-in period) we would make our decisions. We were then admonished for having 'turned-over' a number of agents in the last three years (not continuously listed, for good reason). Tim rudely advised we were 'not for him'. He refused to even look at the property before dismissing us out of hand. I must say I found Tim's tone condescending. I would think very carefully about instructing this agency; if this is how they deal with vendors I would hate to consider their attitude to buyers!
