I’m so very impressed with the sheer rudeness, unreliability and bullshit from Arron James. I must have found the worst estate agency in all of London. In all seriousness, it started when we looked at the desired property and after asking multiple times were told we could have a ten-month contract. When the contract was sent to us a couple days before the move in date, it stated 12 months and the agency told us, there was never any mention of a shorter contract. At that point it was too late to look for another property for us, so we moved in regardless. Before moving in, we had been told the bathroom and shower, which were covered in mould as well as the broken kitchen table would be fixed. Agency as well as landlord reassured us of this, but that never happened either. Due to Corona one of our housemates moved out early and we replaced him with someone else for the last three months. He paid his deposit and rent to the agency which they, according to our landlord, never forwarded to him. Now we are desperately trying to get our deposit back, after 2 (!) months of moving out (contract states 10 days after moving out is maximum). When calling the landlord, who is quite old, he told us he has never heard of a five-week deposit and doesn’t know online banking and only has given two of the five people that were renting, 4 weeks-worth of money back. After contacting the agency multiple times via email and phone, they referred us back to the landlord while he refers us to them. After recently sending a rather straight forward email with our complaints, the agency told us that they don’t handle the property. I have never experienced such a corrupt company. When moving in we were never given an inventory, but the agency expected us to give back random items, such as forks and knifes, which we thought old tenants had left behind. We did give everything back that could have possibly been in the house before and left the house cleaned and spotless but were still told we would receive deductions from our deposit for unreturned items. Lastly, after moving out, the agency let new people rent the property without not only consent but without even asking the landlord or telling him. They then promised to clean the house for free, which they never did, according to landlord. I have never written such a thorough review, but I will leave this on as many review sites as I can, so that people will see. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY BY ANY MEANS! THEY ARE CORRUPT AND UNPROFESSIONAL!
