Worst experience ever. The most inhumane, inconsiderate people I have ever engaged with. They served us notice during the lockdown of the COVID19 pandemic and they were not understanding at all - quite the opposite, they kept claiming they were trying to help us. My housemate and I were lucky to find new homes during the lockdown, as we would have otherwise been left on the street, literally. They tried to charge us for everything and kept money from our deposit for things outside of our control. Not to mention the fact that they never fixed anything. They have a website where you report maintenance issues by providing pictures and videos and they claim to address all issues within a month. I had to send all pics and videos 3 times, for every single issue I ever reported, and they took a minimum of two and a half months to even come look at it. They are inhumane and the landlords they represent are exactly the same. Take my advice, stay far away from them.

18 Aug 2020Dear Tenant , Estates and Lets does not own the property and thus the company needs to follow a private landlord's instructions. We endeavoured to get the best solution for you and the other 3 tenants as it was a joint tenancy. We spoke to the landlord on numerous occasions to accommodate various requests. As per your request, the landlord agreed to released two tenants from the agreement earlier as well as their share of the deposit. The remaining two tenants were offered to pay half of the normal rental amount for the agreed 4 months' period. You were asked to find replacement tenants. In the meantime, the other flatmate found alternative accommodation and wished to be released from the contract. Unfortunately, the landlord could not accept 1/4 of the rent so it was agreed that the last two remaining tenants would leave the property. Estates and Lets offered help in finding accommodation for the tenant who did not secure alternative accommodation. Re deposit - Apart from the usual wear and tear in the property, there was damage done to the walls and the furniture was left in the property that should have been removed prior to your moving out. The landlord was not pleased about it but he agreed to charge £100 between two of you for the cost of furniture removal only. The rest of the deposit was returned to you and your flatmate. The landlord together with Estates and Lets worked extremely hard to negotiate the best outcome for you and your flatmates. It comes as a surprise that despite all our efforts you were not satisfied with the outcome . We wish you all the best in your future.
