Terrible customer service that lacks professionalism After viewing a property through the estate agents, Garner Canning, I overheard comments being made towards me whilst I was not in the room. Both the property owner and estate agent did not realise I was standing nearby and engaged in a negative conversation towards me. When calling the company later on the speak to the director, I was promised a callback, that I never received. After chasing the call back, the estate agent who was engaging in a negative conversation towards me answered my call and was extremely defensive and unapologetic, simply stating 'everyone is entitled to their own opinion'. This is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional for a person to be verbally attacking another individual!

16 Jun 2020The response is from the Director of the company who was at the viewing. You were promised a call back, but not within a time scale of one hour. Other business was being conducted within that period. On the viewing you clearly said that the garden was too small and as the owner knew you lived in the same road, having refurbished a similar property, felt that you were there, just to see the improvements that he had made. As I pointed out to you, he was entitled to his opinion.

19 Jun 2020A potential buyer is entitled to comment on the size of the garden. If the seller is unhappy with feedback then that is for them to deal with as they feel fit. For the estate agent ‘Professional’ to engage in a negative conversation with the seller ABOUT the potential buyer when the buyer is still in ears reach and can hear, that is very unprofessional. Not alone to mention, it was the director of the Garner and Cannings who participated and responded in also speaking negatively of a potential buyer. Your response to this feedback and low rating shows the lack customer service your organisation stands by. Somehow, you still deem it acceptable and have somehow missed the review for your poor service. The feedback on here and many other platforms is simply to highlight to others exactly how you treat your clients and customers. Enjoy the rest of your day

22 Jun 2020I did enjoy the rest of my day, thank you, in the knowledge that the bungalow is now sold and my client was more than happy with the service my company provided. I am sorry that you felt the need to criticize me following a comment made by my client who had closed his front door. In fact, if you had listened to the whole of the conversation, you would have heard that I was actually defending your viewing. This platform offers you and others to air your views and I wish you no ill. After 40 years in the industry, I am pleased to say that this is the first time my company has had to deal with this sort of thing and will learn from it. Enjoy your week.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
