Be careful using them. They were ok during the whole tenancy, but once you checkout they try to take as much of your deposit as possible. They tried charging a total of £900 for mine although I have kept it really well!

3 Jun 2020Hi Pei. I hope you are well. What a shame that you have chosen to post such a review during these difficult times for all of us!!! There is no way we tried to take as much as possible!! The deposit is held independently by the DPS at all times until both parites agree or choose to use their dispute process! We had proposed various deductions and you had even agreed to alot of them. However subsequently you disagreed and the matter went before the DPS ADR who then awarded the landlord some £405 of the amount claimed. This is not an unsubstantial amount and does reflect that the DPS believed that some of the proposed deductions and evidence we proposed on behalf of the landlord were warranted and valid. It was probably one of the longest and most laborious DPS processes I have been involved with in 13 years but it the result was legally agreed to be abided by all parties. There can be no grounds of legitimate complaint when the process was followed accordingly by all parties.

4 Jun 2020Unfortunately these 'various deductions' were way out of order as I said previously. The smallest of wall marks does not equate to £500 worth of deposit - as I said (and wish to make others aware) I should not be charged £500 for coat marks on walls that may have developed over time. I have also tried to get rid of these marks so they were hardly even visible. The other deductions was £5 for a door key (which you did mention was instead of a new lock) however I was directed to leave all keys to the concierge and confirmed it multiple times after I have left that they still had all the keys for my apartment. It just seems the checkout team seems incapable of doing a simple task of locating it. There was an extra £100 put on when totalling up the deposit the first time round, then missed another £5 when doing it the second time. So unless I was trying to be ripped off, then it is both your team and the checkout team that are incapable of doing a decent job.
