Not their type of people, not our type of person So we decided to attempt a P/X using a well known developer. They sent Cochran Dickie round to carry out a survey of our property. Knock at the door and opening comment was 'car park is a bit congested'. Well given it was 5pm and residents were returning home from work what would you expect. Surveyer came in walked about our house told us the information they are not supposed to tell, like the lowest price for the property and the highest price we could expect to get and how the part exchange system works, 8 weeks, 6 weeks, and 4 weeks. An attempt was made by the surveyor to persuade us not to go for a new build but consider a property they were selling in the same area which we viewed 'because everything has been done for you, you'll need to start from scratch with a new build'. To be perfectly honest we were glad when they left the house.
