DO NOT PAY A "HOLDING DEPOSIT", AWFUL BUSINESS, ADAM who is an employee there does not know how to conduct business, and is not fit for his job, I have been lied to and my monies stolen. I paid a £500 holding deposit and was told multiple times it was refunded if my planning permission did not go through for the building. The holding fee was paid to ensure that the property was reserved. I asked multiple times to ensure this was refundable. I was told by Adam a terrible and rude employee who works for this shambles of a business, that my holding deposit would not be refunded and I should see it as “considered kept” by Joseph’s Estates Agents. The £500 “holding deposit” is not considered be used as administration costs. I was told by Adam “who is going to pay for out costs". In no way does this comply with the property omburdsmans codes of practice and should be the landlords duty not a potential tennats. Please stay away from this so called estate agents, and use a reputable agent with real reviews not from the owners family and friends instead, unless you want your money stolen.
