This has got to be the WORST estate agents in the world! After being attacked and verbally assaulted in a property managed by Ashbourne, I tried to get out of my contract. Instead of being supportive and allowing us to leave peacefully, we were forced to stay unless we paid astronomical amounts of money and were told to wait for someone else to want the property. The abuse carried on until we left the property. Ashbourne were made aware of every occasion these situations took place and failed to follow up on their duty of care to us. The property was infested with mice and had a severe waste problem. This wasn’t advised to us before we moved in. They refused to deal with this themselves. We also waited 3 months for a TV socket to be installed. I never received my deposit protection certificate and they refused to return us the correct deposit. The manager of the store and the director were both very rude to my partner. The director was made aware of the issues and stated that we were going round in circles, he would then threaten to end the call due to this. No help was given. I made it clear to Ashbourne, in my letter of notice, we would not be leaving had they resolved our issues. No direct response was given to this. All in all it has cost us over £1000 to get out of the property. If you want your sanity and money, I would personally would not ever use this estate agent.
