my daughter used this agent after her original landlord put the house she was renting up for sale, a sale was made to another landlord with her as a tenant and the tenancy continued. she decided to end the tenancy a couple months ago but although there was nothing whatsoever written in the tenancy agreement about early termination charges drummonds tried to charge her over £300 for this even though there was a tenant ready to go in immediately, when she entered the house it was in a poor state but to her cost she updated and made it a lot better putting a lot of effort and money in, when mr drummond himself came to inspect when it was empty (clean and tidy) he could not find a fault but told us to clean the inside windows! which we did in front of him, arrogant and cocky, they then tried to charge her for many things like the decoration, which she had permission to do and was neutral smart colours, ie grey and mustard, they also tried to charge her for an iron gate that was 60 years old and rusty, this had been taken by the scrap man as it was off its hinge and was put to once side...in the end we confronted the landlord direct who said he was unaware of drummonds actions and agreed to drop all charges (£800 in total) AVOID THIS AGENT , they are devious and crafty not to mention unprofessional, also one of the younger staff (all related) was quite leery when he came to inspect the property in the early days asking my single daughter if she lived alone, did she not have any fun and so on and so on... quite un nerving for a young single mother. They caused a lot of stress and upset that i would never wish on anyone ever.
