If possible, I would award Stobart & Hurrell zero stars. As buyers, they treated us with disdain and indifference from the outset. They were so aggressive that it nearly lost them the sale and even shocked other estate agents. They failed to communicate with each other and could not be bothered to communicate with us, failing to pass on important information from their client, while any emails they did send were full of bizarre, faux-legal language, presumably in an attempt to make their role appear more important than it actually was. When our sale initially fell through we informed them straight away, but they had neither the professional nor personal courtesy to acknowledge the fact or respond, though the property was back on the open market in an instant. They were so totally focused on their commission that they forgot to treat us properly, which in turn so very nearly lost them their commission. Awful to deal with and without doubt the most unhelpful and unpleasant estate agents I have ever come across. If I was looking to sell and they were the only estate agent in town, I’d start my own rather than use them. If you have any choice in the matter at all, avoid at all costs.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
