What seemed like a house that was too good to be true for three students at Robert Gordon University soon turned into a nightmare of unanswered emails and withholding of information. We spent one year in one of their rentals which was in okay condition to start. They ended up charging us 100GBP for cleaning, 230gbp for damages (iron dropped on carpet - fair play) and 370gbp for gardening. A week before we moved out we got an email saying to trim hedges - which we did and then after they complained saying that the lawn had not been ‘edged’ and weeds picked in between patio stones. They blatantly stole our money for gardening services when the title should have clearly been called ‘professional landscaping duties’ since clearly that was their expectation. I don’t know if they stole my money because I had a double deposit due to being a foreign student from Canada or because they thought it was only students who don’t have the money to fight such ridiculous claims. I would suggest anyone looking to use a letting agency stay away from this thieving company unless you were involved in the oil industry and can spare a couple pounds. Unfortunate way to end an otherwise brilliant Scotland adventure.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The flat we were renting for over 1 year was not in good condition when we moved in. What agent could do to change your mind?
Kept me informed regarding the status of my requests for repairs, etc - at ANY point. Returned my phonecalls or replied to my emails. Treated me with a modicum of respect. Not shown empathy with me because they\'ve \"been trying for ages to get in touch with the owner\" - but rather take some action or, at the very least, accept some degree of responsibility. Do some kind of maintenance on the property rather than allow it to become officially-listed as\"dangerous\". Apologise - just once.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
