Crickmay Surveyors are certainly the most unprofessional and incompetent surveyor's that I have ever dealt with in twenty years of being involved in the property industry. Simon Browne carried out a survey on a development site at the end of June 2018, I exchanged on the basis of this survey. When questioned by the lenders auditors two days before I was due to complete three months later, Simon Browne down valued his own valuation by 30% saying that he had 'made a mistake'. This severely jeopardised my purchase, placing me in a position where I was in breach of contract and facing the potential loss of the exchange deposit. I have never been in this position in twenty years of purchasing property and it was extremely costly and stressful to rectify. Put simply their surveys are not worth the paper they are written on and their incompetence in my experience is unparalleled. Avoid at all costs!
Utterly incompetent and unwilling to uphold a valuation given on a property making their valuations meaningless.
