Please find below an excerpt from The Property Ombudsman in relation to a complaint I made against Marshall Buck and Casson. Decision awarded in my favour which speaks volumes. CONCLUSION Overall, I am satisfied that MBC's involvement in the marketing process and in particular the informal tender process that they put in place and communicated with the Complainant, means that it fair that they should provide some compensation to the Complainant for the aggravation, distress and inconvenience that he experienced. PROPOSED DECISION For the reasons stated in my Review, I have supported the complaint that has been made, but only to the extent described. Accordingly, I make an award of £400 in compensation. This is in full and final settlement of this dispute between the Complainant and Marshall Buck and Casson. Property Ombudsman

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
