I wrote a review previousely at the start of my tenancy addressig a bad experience I had with one of the staff members, that was sorted out after Gareth the offices manager got in touch and provided an apology. Now after I have finished my contract and checked out I can say that you cannot find the perfect letting agency and you must be taking all necessary precautions to save your rights with all letting agencies. Had a few problems with them for sending false invoices due to a problem in their system. However when it came to the deposit they were engaged in negotiations and evidence providings. I would highly recommend to keep a file with dates showing of all damages in the property and being extremly detailed. Every scratch from the floors to the walls to the counters, when you check in and when you check out. Make sure everything is documented and always choose to use emails instead of phone calls or in person communication for important information to have a prove for later when they finalise the deposit deduction. This could avoid you being unfairly treated. Do not depend on them from giving back your deserved deposit and be prepared to show your claims and pieces of evidence on some exaggerted deductions they're tring to make. If you do this you will be fine. One more thing is I do not recommend them for students as their policies are not student friendly you will have to be paying in advance rents for at least 6 months in the beginning and £90 renewal fees for every new contract. They increased my rent by £25 after staying for a year, then increased by another £20 right after the last increase.

I think renewal fees of £90 is a lot as I have seen a number of letting agencies only charging £35 for renewals.
