Firstly, I've read many bad reviews on Globeline where they refute and say it's fake. This isn't!!! I am not a customer this is on behalf of my friend. She has been staying with me while she relocates to Sheffield and tries to find a home. She is a hardworking nurse at the NGH with a daughter who has been left disabled after a brain tumour. She saw a house advertised at stradbroke through Globeline, the warnings were there when the agent didn't show at the arranged time for the viewing. She had driven 100 miles to come vie the property and then had to call numerous times and wait over 1 hour until someone turned up. She liked the house and asked to apply, she was told she had to pay 1 months rent in advance, plus a deposit plus application fees, totalling £1700. She was told by the office staff if she paid this instantly it would secure the property. So she did. There was a bit of work being done on the property and wouldn't be ready for a week or two. After 2 weeks she called to see when she could have the keys, then she was told, we take other applicants, when the work is done the house owner will choose a tenant. It was like hold on..... you said my money secured it now you're saying there are other applicants. Anyway to cut a long story short, she was constantly chasing David who was hardly ever available, eventually she was told if he had no decision from the owner by the 26 Feb she can have a full refund as they did warn her, even though they had lied saying the house was hers, that if she pulled out she would lose over £400 of her money !!! A few day before the 26th we drive past the house to check on if repairs done only to find someone living in it now. Do we went and knocked on the door. It was the actual owner of the house, visiting from London and after a discussion with him and his lovely wife we came away being told he will never use Globeline to rent his property again and the house is definitely not for rent! My friend keeps phoning David who is still avoiding her like the plague. When he does respond he's still lying through his teeth saying he's waiting for the work to be finished. Once 26 Feb came my friend was then asking , by txt as he never answer his phone for a full refund like he promised. Finally yesterday the 5th March he agreed to refund her money, he's had it 6 weeks. But the refund by bank transfer will take another 2 weeks???? Seriously anyway she's getting her money back. When previously asked for their complaints procedure, was told they can't lay their hands on it, when asking who they are governed by, they don't know. And when asked who the deposit been registered with as this is a legal requirement And must be done within 28 days, it's not registered anywhere. So now she is awaiting the refund and then the shit will hit the fan. Luckily we know who the 2 governing bodies are for letting agents and have a contact st the Sheffield star. Do not under any circumstances trust your money to this David. He is a liar and doesn't deserve to be in business

Broke multiple laws, entered property without 24hr notice as per UK law.
