Woodcock Holmes Estate Agents was launched in 2002 by our Directors, Adrian Woodcock and Neil Holmes. With a completely fresh approach, bundles of passion and enthusiasm, the business took off immediately. Recommendations were being received daily from both buyers and sellers and our reputation was rapidly growing
. Woodcock Holmes soon became one of the leading Estate Agent in the Peterborough area.
In 2004 Woodcock Holmes Property Management was launched. With such a strong client base it was incredibly important that we were able to offer a full package of property services to fulfil our client’s needs. Our team currently manage one of the largest portfolios of properties across the city and surrounding areas.
We are an Independent Estate Agent and as such have the flexibility to offer a marketing package to suit our client’s individual needs. After over 2 years of renting a property from these guys and getting exceptional inspections, all of a sudden I move out and they want to keep my £650 deposit to clean the place up. Explain that? I gave up arguing with them in the end. They were very unprofessional toward the end and very, very rude toward me. Do not rent from these guys, they will rob you. They told me the deposit was with a deposit protection company whom I had to write to, to get released. When I contacted the landlord he said he never received any of the money and neither had I. So they kept it for themselves

27 Apr 2019Thank you for your All Agents Review although I am disappointed with the 1 star that you have given us. All deposits that we take from tenants are secured with a deposit protection company this is not only to safeguard the landlord but also to ensure that your deposit can not be taken or used by an agent or landlord without your authority or agreement. Woodcock Holmes will always itemise any charges made against your deposit to both the landlord and you as the tenant therefore ensuring that the regulations are adhered to set down by the deposit protection company. Should Woodcock Holmes make any deductions against your deposit these monies will either be used to carryout works, clear rent arrears or will be paid to the landlord accordingly. As explained to you by one of the staff here should you dispute any of our findings you are well within your rights to speak to the deposit protection company and arise a dispute with them at no cost to yourself. The fact that you did not raise a dispute with them somewhat confuses me as if I were that sure the deposit should have been returned I certainly would have raised a dispute and allowed the alternative dispute resolution team to resolve it on both our behalves. Here at Woodcock Holmes we pride ourselves on our customer service and will always go out of our way to ensure that you receive the best service levels wherever possible. If you feel that the service you received was not up to standard I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you and hopefully deal with the complaint personally.
