The service we received from UP Estate Agents was good and bad. Whilst Elliott was our first point of contact for the valuation, he was friendly, pleasant and personable to deal with. Hence we opted for UP. Our encounter however with Simon was somewhat unpleasant. Simon was highly critical of the property, rude and arrogant, to the point of being in your face, on his initial visit. At this point, we then should have opted for another Estate Agent. Particular reference to an issue Simon had, which we both had to listen to on loud speak as to why our solicitor had closed for Christmas at 11 am!! Ridiculous.... it was Christmas after all! Our Solicitor concurred. Furthermore having gone for Option 2, and paid an upfront deposit of £110.00, UP overcharged and sent an invoice for £1,200 to our Solicitor, an overpayment of £250.00, which our Solicitor had to deal with on our behalf. We therefore do not recommend UP based on our own experience. Also advised by Emily that our first time buyers were good to go, not so! Our thanks however to Sophie Hook and Chris Maughan who were both most professional and helpful throughout. It was a stressful enough experience selling two houses, without the rudeness of Simon.

10 Apr 2019Thank you for taking the time to post the review, I know we have spoken about this since you posted the above but wanted to confirm here that you were not overcharged. The solicitors overpaid us and we returned the additional £250 to correct their error. We correctly invoiced the right amount that they should have paid to us but they made a mistake in paying us too much. As soon as we realised that they had sent us more than we had requested from our invoice we did return this to them so that they could return this to you.
