Evans & Partridge marketed my property for 5 months and it was a complete waste of time and money despite reducing the price on a number of occasions. Their inability to properly vet prospective buyers resulted in only time wasters. When I asked them the issues in selling my property I was met with a myriad of excuses ranging from "it's summer", "the economy", "brexit" and a "bad market". I would accept that had it not been for the fact that a similar, but smaller property in the same village as mine that was placed on the market with E&P, sold for the asking price within a week of being on the market. I either was exceptionally unlucky, or E&P specifically select the properties they will promote. My honest opinion is the latter. I have asked E&P to comment and to date they have not responded to this. In the end I placed my property on the market with YOPA and an offer was made within 2 weeks! I would strongly recommend you to avoid this agent as you lose time and money with them

It also seems more than coincidental that the marketed tailed off when I negotiated a fixed fee with them.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
