I've rented from Miller Countrywide Truro for the last 3 years. Early January we were contacted by Miller Countrywide and told our fixed 2 year contract was to end sooner and our contract would be changed to a month by month basis. Acting on this info my family sought alternative accommodation. A day after giving our months notice we were now contacted by the Branch Manager, Daniel Skinner, who informed us the previous information was incorrect and due to a “computer glitch”. Our contract now doesn't end until April. Daniel repeatedly states we are liable for rent until April, if a replacement tenant Is not found by the end of February. Further disgrace: Miller Countrywide have relisted the property for rent at £75 more than the already extortionate £850 PCM it is now. I won't pay for Miller Countrywides mistake caused by their poor record keeping and I won't be bullied into thinking I have no choice. I am currently going through Miller Countrywides internal complaints procedure, (which I can only see favouring their interests), so I can trigger intervention from the Property Ombudsman. I would not recommend Truro branch of Miller Countrywide. Their fees are so expensive and service is poor.
