Things had been going well with the agent, I'd arranged to see the property, and they were flexible with the time; they got back to me to be sure I was interested, and I'd arranged to put in an offer. I asked for exactly what was asked and was told that things were looking good for me to move in on the 1st December, two days before I started my new job. I signed the paperwork and was waiting to hear back from them before I paid the deposit, however they didn't call me back. Two days before I was due to move in I phoned up only to hear that the property had gone to another buyer, who was looking for a longer lease. They claim to have phoned me, but they didn't email, or call back. I'm now due to start a new job with nowhere to live for the first week, and have to start my property search from scratch.
