We used to use Connells in Leicester to manage our property but our last tenants and the tenants before them were unhappy about their tenant fees. We also found our property was sat on the market for several months between tenants. So, we decided to give Harry Albert Lettings & Estates a try and Andrew was brilliant. We still had Connells instructed to let our property whilst Andrew set about marketing our property to. I was dubious at first because Andrew told me they don't just sit back and wait for tenants to find them like some agents do but instead they actively look for tenants. Our property was let in just three weeks whilst Connells hadn't had a viewing, when I asked they told me "The rent is too high", yet Harry Albert Lettings & Estates hadn't had a problem generating viewings and, through their pre-viewing screening process, eliminated viewing requests from those who were unlikely to be suitable for the property. The benefit of Harry Albert Lettings & Estates is that their charges to tenants are really low in terms of vetting and for landlords, they're really clear. The price you see on their website is the price you pay and they're totally against hidden fees or ripping their customers off. The high attention to detail and high service levels are what won me over.
Their fees are fantastic. They're affordable and clear, for both landlords and tenants. They don't charge any fees for me to remain a customer, eg. renewal fees or unnecessary charges for arranging works or rejecting a tenant applicant as they believe, as do I, that these fees should be inclusive of the management charge.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
