Horrendous experience looking for properties to rent with Jeffrey Ross... Over the course of two months that we were looking for a property to rent, we arranged several viewings for prospective properties. Numerous times, we were emailed 5 minutes before each viewing saying that the viewing had been cancelled. Hardly an appropriate time frame to be cancelling the viewing, considering we had taken time of work to attend the viewing... The excuse for the cancellations: "The property has been given to another customer", despite us being told that WE would be the FIRST customers to view the property... Other times, Jeffrey Ross simply did not show for the viewing, without any prior warning or correspondence. One particular instance, we were told that we were the FIRST people to view a property. We viewed the property, liked it, and put in an offer which was ABOVE the asking rental price. We offered to pay the agency fee then and there. We were told they needed to speak to the landlord first, and would get back to us as soon as possible... Did not hear from them for 2 days, despite numerous phone calls to their office. I was told each time I rang that "we're still waiting to hear back from the landlord". i was then left a voicemail 3 days later saying the landlord had "chosen to go with someone else who offered the asking rental price and had viewed the property the day before". I doubt our offer was even conveyed to the landlord, and they clearly lied about us being the first people to view the property. Even worse, as it turned out on further questioning, the landlord had accepted that person's offer straight after their viewing, i.e. the day BEFORE our viewing of the property... So, not only were we lied to they they completely wasted our time, which again, we had taken off work to specifically view that property... These crooks clearly lie to your face, are dishonest, and blatantly have their own agendas as to who gets the property. In the end, we found a property with another rival letting agency, for significantly less money, received better customer service, and we have without doubt a higher standard of property. In short, appalling customer service, dishonest individuals, would not recommend... The only reason that these crooks are still in business is because, unbeknownst to me why, they still manage to hold the monopoly of properties for sale/rent in the popular, sought-after area of Pontcanna.
