October last year we found a property we fell in love with that was being sold by Spencer's so I decided to sell via spencers also in the hope they would do their best to sell mine in order to secure a sale as well. After 2 and a bit months of having about 3 viewings and not selling I decided to change agents to get a quicker sale to secure the property we wanted to buy (I think this may have annoyed Spencer's). Within 2 weeks my property had sold! Even better our offer for the property we loved was accepted. Bear in mind I was forced to accept a lower offer on mine as someone else had also put in an offer on the house we wanted! However we had it in writing, it was all confirmed. Until one day we were guzumped! I think it's so unprofessional that estate agents still allow this happen. If Spencer's has sold my property sooner I wouldn't have ended up selling my house for less and we would have got the house we wanted. We could have raised our offer again but out of principle we didn't! Luckily we found another home (that we did pay more for but was worth it!) and are now happy and settled but it was a very stressful time. Henderson Conellan were fab and I would definitely recommend them!
