I arranged to rent a property through the Truro branch. I was told nobody else had viewed the property; they took a "holding deposit" and promised not to show or offer the property to anyone else. I was told the property was mine to rent subject to credit check and employment reference. I had begun making arrangements to move and awaiting the paperwork when I received a call from Millers saying another tenant had enquired and offered to move in immediately and pay six months rent in advance and that they had now agreed to let the property to the other tenant. I have yet to be refunded my deposit. Disgraceful way to conduct a business.
