I was a tenant at the mercy of this outfit and believe me, they are close to useless. Incompetence is not the word. Laziness, ignorance and I would even suggest plain spite, given they received four emails from me without even an acknowledgement. Okay at taking your money, after that, zilch... They fail to respond to messages, even important ones, leaving the customer wondering if anybody works there any more. Our tenancy was temporary but they hung on to the deposit to the point I had to threaten legal action. I did complain to the Property Ombudsman yet even the threat of this did not wake them up. In a word, never mind the couple of satisfied customers in these reviews; believe me when I say, your chances of being one of them is close to zero...

They told me specific amounts when I viewed and then tried to charge more than double that after I\'d already taken the first step so I couldn\'t really back out. I complained and they agreed to reduce but this is the only time they\'ve settled a problem.

ON the whole they could have just done their job properly and actually be bothered. Train their staff . Give feedback - not expect the client to chase.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
