This has got to be one of the worst estate agents I have ever had to deal with, especially one of the older sales reps called Matt. It seems nowadays that a gentleman's word is most certainly not his bond. We have been lied to and cheated out of a property that has taken us a year to find. This is simply Gazumping to get a better deal at the expense of your customers. This is actually illegal in Scotland and it should be here. You should be ashamed of yourselves

I was astonished to read this review, given that the writer's partner was provided with a full and transparent explanation of all the developments that materialised during negotiations. The accusation of gazumping is not only factually untrue but unfair, having invited full and final offers in the certain knowledge that all interest would be considered on the merit of each of the interested parties. Not only was every courtesy extended to accommodate the Saturday 2nd viewing but also every opportunity to try and secure the property on merit. It would also appear your disappointment has got the better of you as your version of events is a far reflection from what actually happened. As explained to your partner, we are a long established independent estate agent who are not in the business of upsetting people, we go the extra mile for our customers and your criticism is unrecognisable to the standards we have been known for over the last number of decades. Your harsh and unfair comments are refuted in the strongest possible terms.

I have recently sold and bought a property through Matt at Cales and the level of service was exceptional. In my opinion, he went above and beyond the call of duty and kept a chain of 4 together all by himself. He was making telephone calls to and from abroad, working out of hours. Without Matt, my ...
