Dishonest, terrible service. This estate agent (Austin Hayes) took a £800 holding deposit which I contacted him to cancel in less than 24 hours (due to medical reasons). He wrote back one email saying he wouldn't refund any portion of the deposit, and has ignored all correspondence since. This flat was vacant on the market for many weeks previously, so his behaviour is completely unfair - we did not make him lose business over one night off the market. We had no landlord check (we own our previous place) and my husband's work confirmed there was no work verification completed. Before that was terrible service too. Austin made us view to Eagle Point flat by ourselves (with owner's furnishings inside). Do not use this agency, they are dishonest, and unprofessional.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
