I rented a flat last month with this agency and i am quite unhappy because i feel this agency has taken advange of me and just wanted to make business and get the money asap. We all know how competitive is renting and how stressful is for everybody. But in my experience dealing with agencies, i have realised not all are the same. To summarise, before i rented this flat i wanted to make sure that it would be cleaned before my move. I insisted a few times and they promised it would be. Then when i moved, the flat was not clean: dust everywhere, spiderwebs.. it was tidy, but not clean. The agency then said to me that i had to deal with the landlord then. They washed their hands. Once you pay, forget about it. They got what they wanted and they didn't care. This makes me think.. what are the tenant's rights? When we pay the deposit, which is a considerable high amount of money in order to secure the house and protect the landlord.. but who protects us? How can we guarantee that what we are asking will be done, after having payed. This is the only thing i can do.. as my contract is signed and payed. This review and prevent people. Everything should be written, even, before the day of the move, maybe we should check that what they promised is done.. then you feel stupid. They got what they wanted, and it's all about that with this agency.
