As an indepenadent landlord I do not employ Finders Keepers. However I do have to deal with them because they are the agents for landlord of the flat above mine. They have been no use whatsoever. Every year they have to be chased to maintain the grounds of the flat set aside for the upstairs flat. For the second time in ten years I have had to replace the fence between our gardens because their slefseeded shrubs have pushed the fence over. Less than a year old and the new fence is being destroyed. In addition this year the gardener left strands of poison ivy on the perimeter wall which have been waving two feet into the pavement at pushchair height. They have deliberately conspired to damage my property and reduce the value of my property through negligence. They say all sorts of promises on the phone but do not correct the situation. Avoid at all costs. #FindersKeepers = NightmareNeighbours

I've spoken to the office in question and I understand that you had been in direct contact with the landlord about the tree which had pushed the fence over. We have acted on the instruction of the landlord to remove the tree and kill the stump, so I don't understand your comment that Finders Keepers has deliberately conspired to damage your property. 25 Sept 2017Let me begin with a potted history. Approximately fifteen years ago you became agent for the flat in question. All regular maintenance of the grounds ceased. The first time the fence was replaced there were no shrubs in that strip of ground! I know because I had no problems erecting the fence. It was replaced because the ivy and ground elder had broken through from your side and was growing into my greenhouse. Look up when the complaint came in for 'the ivy in your garden is growing up my fence and covering the corner of the building'. Also the instruction that 'to clip part of the front hedge back to the trunk'. Conifers don't grow back. Then came 'please remove the shrubs whose canopy is four feet into my garden and covering my greenhouse'. As to last year, well I had the fence replaced and the contractor notched the boards around the stump because it was not my stump. This stump was hacked back below ground level by me. That killed it. The belated use of weedkiller was a joke, much like the 'I will come back and take the plastic off in six weeks' from the contractor This year, I was on site and met your new contractor and had to explain which bits were mine and which were yours because no-one was on site from your company. Oh let me see doing your job for you. He immediately identified those plants that had to be dug up and removed as persisteant weeds and that the shrubs would push the fence over. With no doubt he was instructed to leave those two shrubs alone because everything else had been removed or sprayed with weedkiller within the time frame he gave me. The ommision can only be a deliberate instruction. Two parties makes it a conspiracy and the shrub is already through the fence causing damage which makes it damage by criminal negligence. This is not about one dead stump, it is about having to constantly make you keep your plants from damaging my property and spreading weeds like ivy and green alkanet in my garden. This is costing me money. If your or the landlord is laughing about this and thinks it is funny or the right way to do business they should be ashamed

Appalling service from this lettings agents who failed to perform the tasks they were paid to perform when tenants vacated property.
