Be careful with these estate agents! I would like to share the bad experience I have just had with Courtney green. After the check out inventory, the landlord asked up 900 to cover various costs. Most of the costs were around general wear and tear like marks on the walls, a few scuffs in the carpet. The check in report was very vague but when it came to the check out they were thorough. Unfortunately, we didn't take note of every single detail and they took advantage of this. It eventually went to a dispute and we managed to keep a good part of our deposit. Courtney green were never open about who they represent. Told us they represented both landlord and tenant. However in a dispute they were completely representing the landlord, even did the landlords case. They also advised us the landlord was being reasonable. If we had heard them we would have lost a huge chunk of our bond. Used our case to lodge the dispute and countered our arguments in the dispute application. If you use Courtney Green make sure you are properly advised about your rights, independently from them and take note of every mark on floors, walls, garden condition. Our house was professionally cleaned every week, no shoes policy in the house, but they still managed to take money from our bond. They seemed very experience around disputes and know what to say to make landlord more favoured. We don't want anything to do with them, ever again.

5 Sept 2017This is a very unfair review but we are sorry to hear of your feelings and we can understand your frustration with regards to the deposit process. There is often a misconception that we, as the agent, benefit or profit from any deposit deductions but we simply mediate between the landlord and the tenant to try and get agreements to items brought up by the independent check in/out reports. It is the landlord who makes the claim against you and receives any agreed deductions, not us as the agent. On this occasion we tried to mediate an agreement between you and the landlord but were unable to reach an agreement on all items, therefore it was arbitrated on by a separate Government approved adjudicator. We do not believe that this rating is a fair representation of events, however your feedback is repected and acknowledged.

5 Sept 2017This is my last comment on this matter. Courtney green advised us to accept the landlords demands and if We had heard to that advice, We would have lost almost half of our bond. The dispute review granted us a few items, and that helped us keep more money of our bond. In addition to this, Courtney green wrote the landlord s dispute evidence, using points against us, we had discussed with Courtney green outside the dispute process. We had to do our own evidence, with no assistance from anyone at Courtney green. This is not what I would consider, just a mediator role. It might be best to get to the facts right, before commenting.

I would strongly advise against ever signing a Tenancy Agreement with Courtney Green. I am on the verge of starting legal proceedings against them and my former landlord as they are trying to charge me (deduct from my deposit) over £500 for PRE-EXISTING ... Read Full Review
