We chose Godwin Curtis to market our property as when they came out to do the valuation they appeared professional, well presented and very complimentary, they also subtly insult the other agents in the area and give you confidence that they will represent you more personally as they have no "targets to meet" such as the big corporate agents. In heinsight they overvalued our property by approximately 18%. Within 1 week of marketing our property at the price that was suggested to us we were under pressure to "slash the price". We had to phone for feedback and were never contacted by them and over a period of a month Scott became increasingly aggressive and rude abot our property. On their advice we decreased the asking price of our house and within 3-5 days told us to "slash the price again". We were fortunate as we had a relocation expert helping us with our move and they ran a "secret shop" on Godwin Curtis, posing as the ideal buyer looking for a house in our street with our budget. Not only did our details not get passed on, no details were taken from them and our assistants disinstructed them in contract after 6 weeks due to a breach of contract. Our new agents subsequently went to Godwin Curtis for the keys and Scotts final insult was to say "its only worth xxxx" 75k under the price they had instructed us to put it on the market at. Subsequently, i have discussed Godwin Curtis with other vendors and a number of them have expressed the same concerns and stories. In short, Initially impressive followed by aggression, rudeness and unprofessionalism. I could not stress to you how disgusted we are with Scott and i would never ever recommend using this agent.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Nothing would ever lead me to use this agent, they are a disgrace

I have only encountered Goodwin Curtis once in my search for a flat in Canterbury. The encounter was however not a pleasant experience. Mr Curtis is not to be trusted: he does whatever in order to achieve his goals? Professional? Not at all! Just run away from this guy. For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
