Karens Lettings

I wish I had read these reviews before I got involved, the words are so true, RUDE, OBNOCTIOUS and a rip off of time and money. I enquired about a property to rent I was told to fill in an application form attached to an email. NO ATTACHMENT!! I finally got the application form and was asked to pay �210 in fees. My application was then passed to another agent to check me out. (I work for a local school contracted to a government department so I know I am secure, DBS, Vetting etc.) I was then asked to supply a copy of my passport, then another email to provide them with the email address of my current landlords. I supplied them with this but with specific instructions not to approach unless my application for the property was secure. The same day an email from my current landlord asking for a �50 reference fee, I said no. Then another email asking for the months pay slips, at this point I was apprehensive. The next day another email asking for one month pay slip and a copy of my employment contract. Why not one email with all questions listed instead of dragging everything out. I supplied this directly to Karen's and on the same day my application was declined. After a strong but polite conversation with Karen she hung the phone up on me. It is clear to all that they were angling with two applications and one had to be declined. Absolutely atrocious behaviour and they should be prosecuted for embezzlement.
