DMN Property Solutions

Last week ***, who is the founder, owner and entire company DMN (it's just one woman) rented me one of her properties I had viewed in Muswell Hill, telling me she was keen to sign off quickly as she was going away and offering a small discount on the rent (a 'financial incentive', as she called it...) to anyone willing to take the property before the end of the month. I liked it and so agreed to take it. She took a holding deposit, presented me with a receipt and we agreed a move-in date. She subsequently sent me all the paperwork, which I duly completed, whilst also confirming move-out date of our current place and turning down all the other places I had viewed. In the days that followed she was also (unbeknownst to me) re-advertising the property, every day, as a 'newly listed' property, to see if she could get a higher offer. She rang me late last night (stuff packed, van booked and move-in date imminent) to say she' had a higher offer and I was to match it or find somewhere else. I explained we were not in London and that I was not able to be in London again prior to the move-out date to find somewhere else to live. She said that wasn't her problem and that as I would not agree to her (considerably) higher rent the property was going to the other tenants. Leaving me completely and utterly stuck. Please, do not to business with this woman.
