Feel totally disgusted at the frankly UNPROFESSIONAL manner in which Michelle Jameson of Countrywide Lettings property management dept. It has taken four whole weeks for our ex landlord to contact Countrywide with regard to releasing our deposit ( held by Mydeposits). In that time, Michelle and her Colleagues continually told us that they couldn't get in touch with our landlord to allow the money to be released, however on discovering purely by chance by Taylor's that the flat is now occupied by new tenants, suddenly we get an email from Michelle to tell us the landlord is asking for a contribution of 290 in total for work which Countrywide have obviously gone ahead and had done without first letting us know - furthermore there was no attached receipt or quote for the said work. We are currently in the process of having Mydeposits investigate the situation. Michelle Jameson and her colleagues at Countrywide Property Management are bare faced liars and do not care whether our deposit is returned or not.
Taylors Lettings in Oxford (St Clements branch in Oxford ) were so desperate to let the tiny two bedroom ground floor flat which had lain empty for quite a while that they waived their £300 agents fees. How generous :-(

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
