1 star given because I cant give any lower. Absolute disgrace - they showed us around a property to rent at the end of August, after we made it clear we could not move until the end of Oct. After some back and forth the Landlord decided to accept our application as they were getting no other interest at all. We were asked for the fees and full deposit (over �900 in total) immediately to take the property off the market. BEFORE THEY HAD EVEN CHECKED WITH THE LANDLORD THEY WERE HAPPY WITH OUR MOVE IN DATE!! Paying the full deposit 7 weeks in advance isnt standard practice, however, because we loved the property, we agreed to do so as long as they got confirmation of the move date from the landlord first. We had some queries, which went unanswered for days, and each time we chased up there was no apology and it happened over and over again, Needless to say, when an issue arose with the property 2 weeks before we were due to move in, our response was a little sharp and we asked it to be put to the landlord our rent was reduced for the first 6m of the tenancy to cover heating costs as the open fire had to be blocked off and the property has no central heating. This was met by the refund of everything we had paid and no further conversation. We had welcomed the landlord to propose a counter offer, but that was to just terminate our application leaving us with 13 days to find a new property as we had given notice on our current one and have to be out by 28th October. This agent should have been advising the landlord to properly consider our proposal, particularly as the property had been empty since July and we are the only interest they have had. It's an absolute disgrace that this has been made out to be our fault because we were assertive in our response. If the agent had replied promptly to our communications throughout, then our response may have been less stern. In short, AVOID THIS AGENT - they have left us with the prospect of being homeless in 11 days because of their complete incompetence and lack of customer service - particularly Megan. We have furniture bought, funds in place, signed tenancy agreement and removals arranged - and now no property. Utter disgrace.

14 Nov 2016I made a formal complaint to the MD regarding this almost a month ago and I have not had a response. Not even an acknowledgement of my complaint. Once again shows you how unprofessional this agent is and how they deal with their customers. I'll be referring it to the Property Ombudsman.

Stay well clear of this company. Especially if a tenant. They only work for the landlord. They never action any maintenance requests and then lie about them being logged. Takes months to get any reply or action out of them. Upon moving out they fabricate dates on documents to suit their lies ... Read Full Review
