Rented a dumped flat for 5 years, paid imposed and unreasonable rent increase almost yearly plus agency fees, of course. Now fighting to get my deposit back, which hasn't been fully insured with dps. Awful agency, would never advice people to rent through them.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Bad. Estate agencies fees are not legal, and CMC imposed us a 6 months only contract in order to get paid more through the years.

Deceitful business practices. We rented a property with them for 6 years. They did not do repairs and had the property neglected for years. Aggressive rent increases. Last week I arranged a flat viewing for 4pm today and I was told to call in the morning of the viewing to confirm. No problem, this was done as soon as the agency opened at 10am. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
