Dear Stuart, It is unusual for us to write a letter of thanks, however on this occasion the highest praises are due to you and your team. ‘Our adventure together commenced in October 2015 and what a journey it has been! From the moment your team stepped through our door we were ‘safe' in the arms of simply ‘the best estate agent' and to let you all know now - you put your competitors to shame! You have all been superb, everyone of you has offered a level of customer service and care that has gone way beyond the ‘norm'. The team are unfailingly polite, helpful, friendly and have bent over backwards to support us in the sale and purchase of our new home. Without exception you have all been totally proactive and professional in every way. You are all a credit to Mackendrick Norcott'. Mackendrick Norcott and the team, in our opinion, are the best estate agent in this area. We believe one of the most important virtues of an estate agent is the ability to actually sell houses, rather than put property details in a window and expect the house to sell itself and sell our house you did Charlotte, I think within literally a few days and also at that time sold another one of our family member's homes within hours of stepping off a plane! Your expertise and knowledge on the housing market coupled with the customer support and personal touches from Chrisanthi, Rebecca and Sheryl, whether taking pictures, sorting contracts, finding solicitors, removal companies, livery yards to move our horses and simply always being on the end of the phone made what we all know as one of life's most stressful situations much easier. I had a very large number of issues with this letting agency, as a tenant. Upon arriving to view and sign for the property, I was told that the deposit must, and would, be placed into the government protection scheme. I was given a leaflet all about it. What agent could do to change your mind?
Try to be honest and up-front with tenants. If this review dissuades a single person from using your services, it\'s entirely possible it will negate the money that you clawed from me, so think more about your reputation. Consider being much politer in communication and more understanding. Imagine if you\'d not tried to scam me, I\'d probably be writing a 5 star review and recommending you to friends. Underhanded tactics like charging an extortionate fee for a reference might net you some short term profit, but it\'s going to put people off in the long term through word of mouth and reviews. If someone does take you to court, many of the practices above violate the terms of the organisations you belong to (believe me, I read all of their guidelines thoroughly when compiling data to take you to court), and a copy of the court results sent to them through their official complaints channel could possibly result in losing these statuses.
