My property was for sale for two years, in the end I accepted 8,000 less than what it was valued at. It seemed to me that not a lot was done in those two years to move my property. I reduced the asking price and took new pictures to update the listing. Some details of listing was changed due to renting out my property with it taking so long to get a sale. I requested twice for the details to be updated and they never were causing an issue when I did secure a sale. The pictures I took myself was uploaded but a new picture of the outside of property was supposed to be taken by agent, which again never happened. When I did secure a sale and I phoned asking for an accurate cost to settle my bill I was told wrong information, making me wrong in my calculations of 1,000 when accepting the offer on my property. I also had to go in three seperate occasions to sign the deposition after getting e mailed to come in to do so. I wrote a letter after the sale detailing all this and did not even receive an acknowledgment that this was received. The only redeeming feature was the sale did go through quickly (6 weeks) in the end.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
